By looking back on the history of minorities in modern Japan while focusing on the Buraku problem, we will help students to acquire a "sensitivity toward others" and deepen their understanding of human rights issues.
We will provide lectures on the history of Okinawa, gender, leprosy, etc. in modern society from the Meiji Restoration to the present, focusing on the problem of Buraku discrimination that will be most difficult to understand, and questioning the state of modern society in Japan.

部落問題を中心に据えながら近現代の歴史を振り返ることにより普遍的人権意識を身につける一助とし、人権問題についての理解を深める。
By looking back on the history of minorities in modern Japan while focusing on the Buraku problem, we will help students to acquire a "sensitivity toward others" and deepen their understanding of human rights issues.
最も理解しにくいであろう部落差別問題を軸にしながら、明治維新から現代までの近現代社会の差別問題のありようを問う。部落問題を身近なものとして理解するために、ドキュメンタリーや文学作品の映画なども取り入れて解説する。可能な限り、ゲストスピーカーを招いて議論する場も設けたい。
