This course takes up a diverse range of dances in society, and cultivates students' ability to explore the meaning of dance which is one of human culture by understanding dance theoretically and scientifically from various.
This course touches on the background of cultures in communities and of the dancers that appear in these communities to deepen students' understanding of dance through related research. The dances to be taken up are "dance in our life", "dance in art", "dance in education", and "dance in physical science", etc. In the classes, we will study dance while watching videos as appropriate.

本授業は、社会における多種多様な舞踊を取り上げ、現象としての舞踊を理論的科学的に捉えることにより、様々な視点から身体文化の一つである舞踊の意味を探求する力を涵養する。
This course takes up a diverse range of dances in society, and cultivates students' ability to explore the meaning of dance which is one of human culture by understanding dance theoretically and scientifically from various.
本授業は、地域に根差した文化や舞踊家たちの芸術活動の背景に触れながら、そこに出現する様々な舞踊に着目し、関連する研究を通じて、舞踊への理解を深めていく。取り上げる舞踊は、「生活文化の中の舞踊」「芸術としての舞踊」「教育の中の舞踊」「身体科学の中の舞踊」等である。授業内では、映像を適宜用いながら、舞踊について考察していく。
