【Course Objectives】

Students will read extracts of iconic French literatures and reflect on them from multiple perspective.

【Course Contents】

In this class, a specific text will be selected every time. Students will discuss the selected text from multiple perspectives. In general, the class is made up of students’ presentations and discussions. Students should study before the class and participate. Wide variety of texts will be used, including literatures, arts, and thoughts from the 16th to 20th century. Solely well-known authors and works will be selected. Students will not be confined to their areas of interest. Instead, students will learn about French literatures in various areas (in a good sense) in wide yet shallow manner.
