(1) Students will acquire basic knowledge about Japanese classical music. (2) Students will grasp the flow of classical music in Japan from a historical point of view. (3) Students will understand the beauty of Japanese classical music from a comprehensive perspective, and explore contact points with the present.
There are many genres and great variety in Japanese classical music. In terms of its characteristics, we can say that (1) Many works are vocal music, (2) Many works are connected closely to elements such as dance, theater and art, and (3) Many works are influenced by leading entertainment and music. At the same time as learning the above characteristics through each genre of Japanese classical music, students will acquire basic knowledge and understand the historical flow. Also, students will appreciate performances by performers, understand the beauty of classical Japanese music, and explore the contact points with us in our modern lives.

日本の古典音楽には多くのジャンルがあり、多様な広がりを見せている。その特徴には次のようなことがあげられる。
（１）多くが声楽である。
（２）舞踊・演劇・美術などの諸要素と深く結びついている場合が多い。
（３）先行の芸能・音楽などの影響を受けている場合が多い。
日本の古典音楽の各ジャンルを通じて上記の特徴を学ぶと同時に、基礎知識を習得し、歴史的な流れを把握する。また実演家による演奏を鑑賞し、日本の古典音楽の美を理解し、現代に生きる我々との接点を探る。

2.日本の古典音楽を実際に鑑賞する機会を積極的に見つける（動画上でも可）。
