【Course Objectives】

By understanding how various organisms, including humans, work, students will be able to take a scientific look at familiar life phenomena.

【Course Contents】

This course provide an overview of the "mechanisms" common to all living organisms or unique to each living organism, and based on this understanding, explain the mechanisms and significance of life phenomena in ourselves and in our surroundings. Although the course sometimes delves into specialized areas, it should be understood that this is necessary for an essential understanding of the subject. Students are expected to have an awareness of the problems involved in life phenomena and to try to understand them logically. Since living organisms are made up of substances, explanations from a chemical perspective will also be incorporated.
