People living in remote mountain villages live in harmony with nature. Learn the educational power embedded in that life and think about the relationship between nature and humans that is required today
Yasuokamura, Nagano Prefecture, which can be called a marginal municipality. Mountain villages, which have been dismissed as inefficient and irrational, are now leading the way in creating a recycling-oriented community. While introducing examples of how villagers, strangers, and environmental education NPOs for young people collaborate to create a sustainable community (such as study abroad in a mountain village), we will consider how humans should coexist with nature. The person in charge of the subject is the representative director of the environmental education NPO actually active in Taifu Village.

へき地山村に住む人々が営む自然と共存する暮らし。その暮らしに埋め込まれた教育力を学び，今求められる自然と人間の関係性を考える。

限界自治体ともいうべき長野県泰阜村（やすおかむら）。非効率，不合理と切り捨てられてきた山村が今，循環型の地域社会作りの先頭に立っている。村民とヨソモノ・若者の環境教育NPOが協働して，持続可能な地域社会を創る事例（山村留学など）を紹介しながら，自然と共存する人間のあり方を考察する。なお、科目担当者は泰阜村で実際に活動する上記環境教育NPOの代表理事である。

| パワーポイント・動画を使用したビジュアル中心の講義形式だが、必要に応じて周囲の人と簡単なディスカッションを行う他、大人数のアクティブラーニング型運営を行う授業もあるため、積極的・主体的に授業に参画する姿勢が求められる。 |

パワーポイント・動画を使用したビジュアル中心の講義形式だが、必要に応じて周囲の人と簡単なディスカッションを行う他、大人数のアクティブラーニング型運営を行う授業もあるため、積極的・主体的に授業に参画する姿勢が求められる。
授業中にオンラインツールを活用してコメントを集約する場合があるので、できるだけノートPC・タブレット持参が望ましい。
他、持ってくるものは「やる気」
講師は泰阜村で実際に活動する上記環境教育NPOの代表理事である。毎週毎週、信州の山村から片道5時間（！）かけて大学に通い、旬な情報を伝える。
