【Course Objectives】

In this course, students will study the Individual Labor Relations Act, which regulates the relationship between individual employees and their employers. In doing so, they will deepen their understanding of various labor problems, while strengthening their ability to independently read and understand literature and data to conduct their own analysis.

【Course Contents】

In this course, students will deeply ponder what way of life seems most characteristic of themselves. In order to wed this ideal to the course they hope to take in life, they will learn about labor laws, which are the rules relating to the act of working.
More specifically, we will discuss various labor law issues relating to each stage of the working relationship: it’s establishment, it’s progression, and its termination (for example, the withdrawal of tentative recruitment offers, how to formally determine that a company is exploiting its employees, downsizing, etc.). Using information from the text, students will learn the fundamentals of general labor laws.
