【Course Objectives】

Students will not only acquire knowledge about the historical past, but will also be able to consider history from multiple perspectives, including the meaning of historical narratives, historians' attitudes and methods of historical representation.

【Course Contents】

What is history, why do we tell history, and how can history be told? We will consider these questions together through various historical works (especially history books) and historians. The course is basically in a lecture format, but may require the active participation through question and answer sessions, discussions, etc.
