【Course Objectives】

As all societies are historical products, universities are influenced by their times’ specific policies and political climate in history. By the end of this module, students should be able to think critically and historically about the history of Rikkyo University.

【Course Contents】

It has been 150 years since Channing Moore Williams established the Rikkyo School at Tsukiji in Tokyo. We will consider the history of Rikkyo University, along with some biographical stories about foreign teachers.
