【Course Objectives】

・To Understand how various cultures from different eras and regions coexist in Christianity based on actual examples.
・To be able to explain the universality of Christianity in your own words.

【Course Contents】

Culture is an important part of shaping people's daily lives, but when different cultures come into contact with each other, conflicts can arise. On the other hand, Christianity has a nature that transcends a specific time and place, that is, universality. In this way, Christianity coexists with various cultures. In this course we will deal with the history of Christianity and consider how various cultures are accepted by Christianity and how new cultures are sometimes created. Let's learn together how ancient Greek philosophy, Islamic thought, and European cultures interact and coexist within the framework of Christianity.
