・By objectively observing a single phenomenon from various vantage points, students will inquire into the activities of both humans and nature, enabling deep analysis thereof.
・Students will acquire the imaginative abilities required to concretely picture phenomena that they have yet to experience for themselves.
・Students will cultivate the desire to independently further their knowledge related to the specialization of nursing.
・In order to continue their growth as nursing professionals whose knowledge is not limited to any single field of specialization, students will be motivated to incorporate the practice of carefully thinking things through into their own independently-determined way of life.
In order for students to achieve the objectives laid forth by this course, leading individuals active in various fields outside of healthcare will be invited to speak. Guest lecturers will mix in their personal experiences, touching upon ways of living that help to continually elevate oneself as a professional, as well as how one can continually consider how one’s expertise can be of best use to society. Furthermore, through group discussions, students will deeply consider how to continue to develop as an educated individual in their field of specialization; this course serves as a valuable opportunity for students to share their findings regarding this matter with one another.
Furthermore, students will submit reaction papers at the conclusion of each lecture, on which they will receive feedback from the instructor via Manaba (St. Luke’s International University’s learning assistance system).
We strongly believe that students who take this course will see it as a valuable source of encouragement for the sake of living their own independent lives. Furthermore, we want students to see this course as a valuable opportunity to develop a way of life conducive to those who will bear the responsibility of running society on a global scale in the future, as they continue to mature with their colleagues.

この科目は、専門職業人として成長し続ける市民の基盤を成す教養を高めるために、人間社会の営みをさまざまな角度から探究し、人間性の本質への理解を深めることを目的とする。目的達成のために、宗教、情報伝達、言語等の専門分野から講師を招き、講義やディスカッションを通して、社会的課題解決のための思考力を身につける。
今年度のテーマは、「ニッポンの底ぢから －日本が世界平和に貢献できること－」
近年、海外で絶賛されている日本人をかたちづくる哲学について考究するとともに、世界平和実現のために日本が果たすべき役割などについて、特別講師の先生方から話題提供をいただきながら、受講生とともにディスカッションする場を設けたいと考えています。
・ひとつの事象をさまざまな視座から客観的に観察することにより、自然や人間の営みについて探求し、
それらについて考察できるようになる。
・これまでに体験したことのない事象について、具体的にイメージできるような想像力を身につける。
・自らの専門性に立つ教養を自ら深めようとする態度を身につける。
・専門分野の知識に縛られない専門職者として成長し続けるために、省察的な実践を自らの生きかたに
取り入れようとする動機づけと態度を身につける。

この授業の到達目標を達成するために、医療以外のさまざまな分野で専門職として活躍しておられる第一人者を
招聘する。特別講師には、専門職者として自らを高め続けていく生きかたや、自らの専門性を社会にどのように
活かしていきたいと考えておられるのか、などについて、ご自身の体験を交えてお話しいただく。
さらに、ディスカッションを通して、受講者自身が「専門性に立つ教養人」として成長していくための生きかたについて深く考え、それらを分かちあう貴重な機会を提供する。
なお、毎回の講義終了後に提出を求める「リアクションペーパー」を対象として、担当教員からmanaba
（聖路加国際大学・学習支援システム）を通じたフィードバックを行う。
この科目を受講することによって、学生諸姉諸君が自らの人生を主体的に生きるための貴重な糧を身に
できるものと確信している。さらに、地球規模で将来の社会を責任をもって担うことができる人間となるべく、
仲間とともに成長し続ける生きかたの礎をつくる貴重な機会として、この科目を位置づけてほしい。

・毎回の授業にあたって、特別講師から事前課題が課せられることがあります。その場合、聖路加国際大学manabaを通じてお知らせしますので、1時間ほどの予習に取り組んでください。ログインに必要な情報は抽選登録結果発表後に教務事務センターにお問い合わせください。
・毎回の授業終了後、週末までに、特別講師の講義を受けて気がついたこと、考えたこと、生まれた疑問、感想などを４００字以内にまとめたリアクションペーパーをmanabaで提出してください。これらに基づいて、特別講師から、受講生全体に向けたフィードバックをいただきます。

●開講場所について
・第３回の授業は、清水建設株式会社ＮＯＶＡＲＥアカデミーものづくり至誠塾（東京都江東区潮見２－８－２０）において開講します。
・第６回、第７回の授業は、国立天文台三鷹キャンパス（東京都三鷹市大沢２-２１-１）において開講します。当日は、午前（１０：００～１２：００）と午後（１３：３０～１５：１０）、両方のプログラムに参加してください。
・第１１回の授業は、聖路加国際大学本館４階４０２／４０３教室で開講します。
・上記の授業回以外については、聖路加臨床学術センター（ＣＣＡ）地階 日野原ホールにおいて開講します。
●定員および履修者について
・国立天文台三鷹キャンパスの４Ｄ２Ｕドームシアターの定員を鑑み、履修定員を３０名以内とします。履修希望者が３０名を超えた場合には抽選によって履修者を決定します。
・この科目が聖路加国際大学との合同開講科目のため、聖路加国際大学の学生５０名以内が受講します。
