Understand the basic techniques and tactics of badminton and acquire skills. Acquire the ability to think and execute strategies and practices to improve individual and team performance. Learn how to make effective use of group work by utilizing communication skills.
After dividing into teams, the first half will be a general lesson to understand the basic techniques and tactics of badminton and acquire skills. In the second half, each team will have time to practice (group work) to improve the performance of individuals and the team. The game format is mainly doubles for team battles.

バドミントンの基礎技術・基礎戦術を理解し、技能を身につける。個人及びチーム全体のパフォーマンスを向上させるために、戦略や練習を考え実行する能力を身につける。コミュニケーション能力を活かし、グループワークを有効に機能させる方法を身につける。

チーム分けをしたうえで、前半はバドミントンの基礎技術、基礎戦術を理解し、技能を身につけるために全体授業を行う。後半はチームごとに練習する時間（グループワーク）を設け、個人・チーム全体のパフォーマンスを向上させる。ゲーム形式は主に団体戦のダブルス。

バドミントンをプレーするのに適した服装とシューズ。ただし、専用のものでなくとも可。
授業中のスマートフォンの使用を禁止します。
1．担当教員より特別の指示のない限り，更衣はポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター（池袋キャンパス）/ 新座体育館（新座キャンパス）の更衣室で行うこと。なお，第1回目の授業より実習が始まるので，運動ができる服装・靴を準備し，授業に出席すること。屋内施設で行う授業は専用シューズを用意すること。
2．天候等により通常の実施場所とは異なる場合があるため，屋内・屋外科目に関わらず，授業前にポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター入口（池袋キャンパス）/体育館入口（新座キャンパス）の掲示板で実施場所を確認すること。
3．当年度の4月に行われる定期健康診断を必ず受診しておくこと。
※健康診断を受診すると，保健室にて通学定期乗車券発行控に「済」印（健康診断が受診済みであることを証明する印）が押されるため，それを初回授業時に提示すること。
※定期健康診断を未受診の場合は，授業参加に支障をきたすため，早急に保健室の「追加の健康診断について」のページを確認して対応すること。
4. 実習中の怪我や事故には充分注意し、担当教員から指示がある場合は、それに従い行動すること。
本科目は、担当教員の実務経験、または実務に従事するゲスト・スピーカーの招聘講義等を活かした授業である。
