Deepen your understanding of Adapted Sports (sports for the handicapped), and cultivate the ability and insight to enjoy sports with or without handicaps. Through sports activities, cultivate skills that are necessary for the general public such as communication skills, self-expression and leadership.
In addition to practice adapted sports, students prepare and present group presentations.

アダプテッドスポーツ（障害者スポーツ）への理解を深め、障害の有無にかかわらずスポーツを楽しむ能力・見識を養う。スポーツ活動を通して、コミュニケーションスキル、自己表現、リーダーシップ等、一般社会において必要とされる能力を養う。

1．担当教員より特別の指示のない限り，更衣はポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター（池袋キャンパス）/ 新座体育館（新座キャンパス）の更衣室で行うこと。なお，第1回目の授業より実習が始まるので，運動ができる服装・靴を準備し，授業に出席すること。屋内施設で行う授業は専用シューズを用意すること。
2．天候等により通常の実施場所とは異なる場合があるため，屋内・屋外科目に関わらず，授業前にポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター入口（池袋キャンパス）/体育館入口（新座キャンパス）の掲示板で実施場所を確認すること。
3．当年度の4月に行われる定期健康診断を必ず受診しておくこと。
※健康診断を受診すると，保健室にて通学定期乗車券発行控に「済」印（健康診断が受診済みであることを証明する印）が押されるため，それを初回授業時に提示すること。
※定期健康診断を未受診の場合は，授業参加に支障をきたすため，早急に保健室の「追加の健康診断について」のページを確認して対応すること。
4. 実習中の怪我や事故には充分注意し、担当教員から指示がある場合は、それに従い行動すること。
本科目は、担当教員の実務経験、または実務に従事するゲスト・スピーカーの招聘講義等を活かした授業である。
