This class aims to develop students’ leadership skills, an important factor of communication skills, through the team sport of American football. Experience the thrill of reaching your goals while repeatedly devising, implementing, and revising tactics as a team.
Flag football is a sport which eliminates the physical contact of American football, allowing for anyone to participate in a team regardless of gender or age. By defining the division of roles, each member is taught in the class “how to contribute to the team.” Classes are divided into teams, and students can enjoy the game while polishing tactics and strategies and searching for effective methods.

アメリカンフットボール型のチームスポーツを通じて，コミュニケーション能力の重要性・Leadershipスキルの構築を目指します。チームで作戦を立案・実践・修正を繰り返しながら，目標到達の醍醐味を実感します。

フラッグフットボールはアメリカンフットボールの身体接触を排除して，性別・年齢に関係なく，誰でもチームに参画できるスポーツです。役割分担の明確化によってメンバー各々が、如何に「チームに貢献出来るか」をテーマとして授業をすすめます。クラスをチーム分けし，戦術・作戦を練り，効果的な方法を模索しながらゲームを楽しみます。
2028年開催予定のロサンゼルスオリンピックに正式種目に採用されました。

1．担当教員より特別の指示のない限り，更衣はポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター（池袋キャンパス）/ 新座体育館（新座キャンパス）の更衣室で行うこと。なお，第1回目の授業より実習が始まるので，運動ができる服装・靴を準備し，授業に出席すること。屋内施設で行う授業は専用シューズを用意すること。
2．天候等により通常の実施場所とは異なる場合があるため，屋内・屋外科目に関わらず，授業前にポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター入口（池袋キャンパス）/体育館入口（新座キャンパス）の掲示板で実施場所を確認すること。
3．当年度の4月に行われる定期健康診断を必ず受診しておくこと。
※健康診断を受診すると，保健室にて通学定期乗車券発行控に「済」印（健康診断が受診済みであることを証明する印）が押されるため，それを初回授業時に提示すること。
※定期健康診断を未受診の場合は，授業参加に支障をきたすため，早急に保健室の「追加の健康診断について」のページを確認して対応すること。
4. 実習中の怪我や事故には充分注意し、担当教員から指示がある場合は、それに従い行動すること。
本科目は、担当教員の実務経験、または実務に従事するゲスト・スピーカーの招聘講義等を活かした授業である。
