Ultimate is a type of disc sport that uses flying discs (frisbees) and is a team sport where teams compete for scores. Disk sports are unique in terms of the flight distance and flight duration, and it is possible to cultivate a sense of motion that accounts for the proper momentum, which differs from that in other ball games. This is also one of the few types of games where everyone can start at about the same level regardless of their previous exercise history. The objective is for students to understand the characteristics of Ultimate and learn it as a lifetime sport.
In each class, a theme is established and a variety of games are played following warm-ups based on the theme. The first half aims to teach techniques from disk sports focusing on “Dodgebee,” “Disk Golf,” and “Accuracy,” and in the second half, teams are formed and “Ultimate” is played.

アルティメットは，フライングディスク（フリスビー）を使用するディスクスポーツ種目の一つで，チームで得点を競い合う団体競技である。ディスクスポーツは飛行距離や滞空時間などに特徴があり，無意識に適度な運動量と他の球技とは異なる運動感覚を養うことができる。また，これまでの運動歴に比較的関係なく，全員がほぼ同じレベルでスタートできる数少ない競技種目である。アルティメットの種目特性を理解し，生涯スポーツとして身につけることを目標とする。

毎回テーマを設定して，テーマに沿ったウォーミングアップから様々なゲームを行う。前半は，ディスクスポーツの中から「ドッチビー」「ディスクゴルフ」「アキュラシー」などを中心に技術習得の目的で行い，後半はチームを編成し「アルティメット」を行う。

休み時間などの空いている時間に，ディスクのスロー＆キャッチを各自で練習しておくこと。
初回から，屋外で運動のできる服装・靴を用意すること。雨天の場合は、体育館シューズを用意すること。

1．担当教員より特別の指示のない限り，更衣はポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター（池袋キャンパス）/ 新座体育館（新座キャンパス）の更衣室で行うこと。なお，第1回目の授業より実習が始まるので，運動ができる服装・靴を準備し，授業に出席すること。屋内施設で行う授業は専用シューズを用意すること。
2．天候等により通常の実施場所とは異なる場合があるため，屋内・屋外科目に関わらず，授業前にポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター入口（池袋キャンパス）/体育館入口（新座キャンパス）の掲示板で実施場所を確認すること。
3．当年度の4月に行われる定期健康診断を必ず受診しておくこと。
※健康診断を受診すると，保健室にて通学定期乗車券発行控に「済」印（健康診断が受診済みであることを証明する印）が押されるため，それを初回授業時に提示すること。
※定期健康診断を未受診の場合は，授業参加に支障をきたすため，早急に保健室の「追加の健康診断について」のページを確認して対応すること。
4. 実習中の怪我や事故には充分注意し、担当教員から指示がある場合は、それに従い行動すること。
