This course is aimed at a wide range of people, whether they are beginners or experienced. The goal is to learn the basics of hip-hop dance understanding the characteristics and historical and social background of hip-hop culture. In addition, the aim is to enjoy dancing through the study of various forms of expression and group work related to hip-hop dance.
For the first, students learn basic hip-hop dance movements and routines, then explore the dance expression incorporating ethnic dance and contemporary dance skills which contains all kinds of body movements.
In addition, through group work and showcase, you will enjoy the pleasure of creating, dancing, and watching dance with others.

本科目はダンス初心者・経験者を問わず幅広い層を対象としている。ヒップホップ文化の特徴や歴史的・社会的背景を踏まえた上で、ヒップホップダンスの基礎を習得し、またヒップホップダンスに関連する様々な表現形式やグループワークを通して、踊る楽しみを味わうことを目的とする。

まずはヒップホップダンスの基本的なステップワークを中心としたルーティンを体得し，その後自由な表現であるコンテンポラリーダンスや民族舞踊の要素も取り入れ，各自のダンス表現の幅を広げる。
また、グループワークおよびショーケースを通じて、他者と共にダンスを創る、踊る、観る楽しみを味わう。

ダンス経験の有無は問いません。ダンスの世界を広げてみたい方、ダンスを通して心身を鍛えてみたい方の積極的な受講をお待ちしています。
1．担当教員より特別の指示のない限り，更衣はポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター（池袋キャンパス）/ 新座体育館（新座キャンパス）の更衣室で行うこと。なお，第1回目の授業より実習が始まるので，運動ができる服装・靴を準備し，授業に出席すること。屋内施設で行う授業は専用シューズを用意すること。
2．天候等により通常の実施場所とは異なる場合があるため，屋内・屋外科目に関わらず，授業前にポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター入口（池袋キャンパス）/体育館入口（新座キャンパス）の掲示板で実施場所を確認すること。
3．当年度の4月に行われる定期健康診断を必ず受診しておくこと。
※健康診断を受診すると，保健室にて通学定期乗車券発行控に「済」印（健康診断が受診済みであることを証明する印）が押されるため，それを初回授業時に提示すること。
※定期健康診断を未受診の場合は，授業参加に支障をきたすため，早急に保健室の「追加の健康診断について」のページを確認して対応すること。
4. 実習中の怪我や事故には充分注意し、担当教員から指示がある場合は、それに従い行動すること。
本科目は、担当教員の実務経験、または実務に従事するゲスト・スピーカーの招聘講義等を活かした授業である。
