【Course Objectives】

This class is to take another look at the “body” of yourself and to consider life-long fitness through soft and gentle movement and breathing as well as harmonizing consciousness in the unique manner of 24-form tai chi chuan.

【Course Contents】

Originating from China, tai chi chuan is the long-established martial art and health management method. In order to acquire the necessary skills, students are required to engage in not only individual practices but also group practices, as mutual teaching would help you improve skills and communicate with others. One third of the class is comprised of lecture to consider the importance of exercise and sports in the modern society from various different angles. Tai chi chuan may be “fun” to learn, but not “easy” to acquire 24 forms of movement. Active attendance is desired since students would learn a new form in every class.
