【Course Objectives】

“Live in harmony with yourself and your environment,” and approach yoga as the key to the challenges of modern society. After an overview of yoga theory, students learn the basics of the exercise and breathing techniques, and each student masters continuous body work to be aware of, understand, regulate and train the condition of their body and mind.

【Course Contents】

In the lectures, the fundamental knowledge and basic concepts of yoga are outlined. During the practical exercises, 1) The basic asanas (motions) and their variations in 6 areas and 2) The basic Pranayamas (breathing techniques) are explained and practiced. Sessions flow through a combination of a dozen or so asanas, focusing on a single main theme each time.
