This course aims to improve students’ mental and physical health and foster communication skills through sports practice. To this end, students will be able to understand the basic game structure and appeal of softball, and based on enjoy playing with their peers, develop the ability related to team-building and readership.
Students will learn the basic techniques and fundamental game structure of softball through practice. Additionally, students will experience the game with slow pitches, fast pitches, and balls of various sizes, and practice softball as the recreation and competition levels. Students will discuss the role of lifestyle sports through creating a course portfolio, and also learn about sports and team building through the division of roles and management in teams.

スポーツ実践を通して，心身の健康増進とコミュニケーション能力の育成を目指す。また，そのために必要なソフトボールの基本的ゲーム構造や魅力を理解し，それを基にゲームを仲間と楽しむことからチームビルディングやリーダーシップ能力を育成する。

ソフトボールの基礎技術や基本的ゲーム構造を実践を通して学習する。また，スローピッチとファーストピッチ，さまざまな大きさのボールによるゲームを体験し，レクリエーションとしてのソフトボールと競技としてのソフトボールを実践する。その実践を系統的にまとめ，生涯スポーツとしてのスポーツの役割を考察する。また、チームにおける役割分担やマネージメントを通して，スポーツとチームビルディングについて学習する。

1．担当教員より特別の指示のない限り，更衣はポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター（池袋キャンパス）/ 新座体育館（新座キャンパス）の更衣室で行うこと。なお，第1回目の授業より実習が始まるので，運動ができる服装・靴を準備し，授業に出席すること。屋内施設で行う授業は専用シューズを用意すること。
2．天候等により通常の実施場所とは異なる場合があるため，屋内・屋外科目に関わらず，授業前にポール・ラッシュ・アスレチックセンター入口（池袋キャンパス）/体育館入口（新座キャンパス）の掲示板で実施場所を確認すること。
3．当年度の4月に行われる定期健康診断を必ず受診しておくこと。
※健康診断を受診すると，保健室にて通学定期乗車券発行控に「済」印（健康診断が受診済みであることを証明する印）が押されるため，それを初回授業時に提示すること。
※定期健康診断を未受診の場合は，授業参加に支障をきたすため，早急に保健室の「追加の健康診断について」のページを確認して対応すること。
4. 実習中の怪我や事故には充分注意し、担当教員から指示がある場合は、それに従い行動すること。
