【Course Objectives】

This course is designed for students who have completed intermediate-level study. The purpose of the course is to develop students’ understanding of the advanced sentence structures and expressions used in literary works, specialized journal articles, public speeches, etc., as well as to be able to fluently use these structures and expressions in their own conversations and compositions.

【Course Contents】

Sentence patterns and expressions will be taken from literary works, journal articles, lectures, and so on. Students will be given numerous example sentences so that they understand their structure and applications as well as how they differ from patterns with similar nuances. Finally, students will repeatedly practice writing short compositions until they are able to use the sentence patterns and expressions themselves.
