【Course Objectives】

The aim of this course is to comprehensively provide students with the basic knowledge of Russian grammar and to improve their fundamental communication skills through various learning activities.
In this course we will continue and complete the study of basic Russian grammar. The aim of the course is not only to have the knowledge of grammar, but to be able to use it well and express simple phrases and sentences in Russian.

【Course Contents】

Using CEFR A2 level materials, this course aims to improve students’ fundamental communication skills used in everyday life. In addition, students will enrich their understanding of the society and culture of Russian-speaking regions by comparing those of their own countries to develop their plurilingual and pluricultural competence.
We will start this course by reviewing the main grammatical contents of lessons 1-16 of the textbook, not by following each individual lessons, but by summarising and focusing on declension and conjugation. Then we will study new grammatical topics in lessons 17-20. By reading small texts and writing small essays, students are expected to enhance vocabulary and skill to express in simple Russian. Listening and conversation practices will be introduced as well. With the help of audiovisual materials, information about the society and culture of Russian-speaking regions will be provided.
