【Course Objectives】

This course aims at providing students with the following.
-Critical understanding of the concept of development, as well as the actors and issues in development
-Recognition that there are different sides to debates on the nature of development and underdevelopment
-Ability to ask key questions for addressing development issues.
Students are expected to be able to express their own opinions and develop analytical thinking to the issues through dialogue in class and assignments.

【Course Contents】

This course provides students with many aspects of global issues according to the list of Sustainable Development Goals. Depending on the availability of guest speakers, the topics discussed during the class maybe adjusted.
