Learn the SDGs and glocal possibilities with five senses through practice and connect them to well-being
SDGs Goal3 "Health and welfare for all" / Goal8 "Rewarding work and economic growth" / 9 "Building a foundation for industry and technological innovation" / 11 "Creating a city where people can continue to live" and solving problems Acquire the necessary viewpoints and methods. At the same time, I would like to have a lesson that cultivates a sense of design and a sense of producer. The goal is to develop human resources who will create the 22nd century from comprehensive learning by combining activities in the real world and academic education in the classroom.
The place of activity is Kumagaya City, Saitama Prefecture. Kumagaya City has a record high temperature of 41.1 degrees Celsius in Japan and is famous as a municipality with a strong awareness of environmental destruction. In fact, the Ministry of the Environment has been inducted into the Hall of Fame as a measure against the heat. In addition, the Tone River and Arakawa are the closest, and the water is abundant, and the number of sunny days is the best in Japan. In short, it is a fertile land blessed with water, soil and the sun, and is also a treasure trove of foodstuffs.
SOCIAL & PUBLIC is a joint label of PUBLIC DINER Co., Ltd. in Kumagaya City and Saitama Fukuko Co., Ltd., and is the name of the activity. PUBLICDINER operates 6 restaurants, guest houses, etc. and designs the area with food. In addition, we will develop organic festivals in the Kumagaya area and the Keyman Exhibition of 63 municipalities in Saitama prefecture, connecting Saitama prefecture with organic connections. In addition, Saitama Fukuko is a global company of agricultural and fortune cooperation that employs people with disabilities and produces agricultural products as one of the various "human resources" utilization. SDGs Goal3「すべての人に健康と福祉を」/ Goal8「働きがいも経済成長も」/9「産業と技術革新の基盤づくり」/11「住み続けられるまちづくり」を自分ごととして理解し、課題解決に必要な視点や方法を身につける。同時にデザイン目線、プロデューサー感覚を養う授業にもしたい。実社会の現場での活動と、教室における学問的な教育とを結合し、総合的な学習から22世紀をつくる人材を育てることを目標とする。

活動場所は、埼玉県熊谷市。熊谷市は、日本最高気温41.1度を記録し、環境破壊への問題意識が強い市町村として有名だ。実際、環境省から暑さ対策で殿堂入りなどをしている。また、利根川と荒川が最接近しており水が豊富で、快晴日数も日本一。要するに、水、土、太陽に恵まれた肥沃な土地で、食材の宝庫でもある。
SOCIAL＆PUBLICとは、熊谷市にある有限会社PUBLIC DINERと埼玉福興株式会社の合同レーベルであり、活動体の名称。PUBLICDINERは、飲食店６店舗、ゲストハウスなどを運営し、地域を食でデザインする。また、熊谷圏オーガニックフェスや埼玉県63市町村キーマン展など展開し、埼玉県内を有機的なつながりで結ぶ。埼玉福興では、多様な「人財」活用のひとつとして、しょうがい者を雇用しつつ、農業生産を行う農福連携の世界的企業だ。この二つの会社が織りなすSDGｓとグローカルの可能性を、実践の中から、体で学ぶ。
具体的には、上記活動の拠点となる古民家をリノベーションしたゲストハウス「THE PUBLIC」に宿泊し、地域とのかかわりながら「農からはじまる暮らし」を体験する。仕事は、しょうがい者との農作業（水耕栽培、夏野菜の収穫等）や藍染etcを体験。地域の中で、各取組が、SDGsが日々の生活の中で、いかに実践されているか？を体感し、グローカルの可能性を、実践の中から五感で学んでいく。
授業を通じて、自分とは何者なのか？を知り、自分の未来を、自分で切り開くきっかけとなるだろう。
この授業の1期生は、東京大学主催『チャレンジオープンガバナス2022』においてグランプリである総合賞を受賞。2期生は、立教大学ポール・ラッシュ博士記念奨学金に採用され、学びを実践へとつなげている。こられらの取り組みを、3期生でさらに形にしていこう。

【全体的な注意事項】
・本シラバスの内容は、自然災害やその他社会情勢によって変更となる場合がある。
・本科目の具体的な学外活動内容、履修申込方法等の詳細は、別途RSLセンターHPにて3月上旬公開予定の「履修の手引き」を参照すること。（閲覧は要V-CampusID/PW）
・本科目は科目の特性上、原則対面授業で実施する。特に学外活動は宿泊形式で実施するので、これに参加することが履修の条件となる。この点を充分理解した上で履修すること。
・対面による学外活動は2024年8月1日（木）～5日（金）の期間、本科目の提携先である埼玉福興株式会社の担当者の指導のもと、埼玉県熊谷市内において宿泊形式で実施する。
・期間中、宿泊先より埼玉福興株式会社の運営施設等へ移動し、農作業などのフィールドワークを実施する。具体的な内容については「履修の手引き」を参照すること。
【事前説明会】
・履修希望者は、履修登録に関する「事前説明会」に必ず出席すること。なお、やむを得ない場合により出席できない場合はRSLセンターに必ず相談すること。
＜実施形式＞ Zoomによるオンライン形式で実施する（予定）

【履修申込方法】
・本科目の履修登録は「抽選登録」で行う。
・履修登録後の自己都合による履修辞退（履修中止）は一切認められないので注意すること。
【授業日程】
・授業は「事前・事後学習」（池袋キャンパス）＋「学外活動」（埼玉県熊谷市）で行われ、定められた全日程に参加しなければならない。
＜事前学習＞
2024年6月19日（水）、26日（水）、7月3日（水）、10日（水）の3時限目（全4回）
池袋キャンパス
実施教室は別途指示する。
事前学習については、別途「履修の手引き」等で案内する。
＜学外活動＞
2024年8月1日（木）～5日（月）：4泊5日 埼玉県熊谷市内（宿泊）
宿泊先はThe Public（http://the-public.jp/）
この期間は夜も含めてアルバイトや部活動・サークル活動等私的な予定を入れないこと。
＜事後学習＞
2024年8月21日（水）13:00～20:30 池袋キャンパス
実施教室は別途指示する。
事後学習については、別途「履修の手引き」等で案内する。
【保険・学外活動参加費】
・履修登録者は、学外活動にかかる保険に加入する必要がある。
・学外活動にかかる費用（参加費、保険代等）は「履修の手引き」を参照すること。
なお、参加費については40,000円（宿泊費+食事代）程度を予定している。
・履修確定後、保険手続きや参加費納入等の学外活動に関する手続きについては、RSLセンターから指示するのでその指示に従うこと。また、居住地から学外活動地点までの往復交通費は参加費とは別に自己負担となる。
【履修上の注意点】
・履修登録後の自己都合による履修辞退（履修中止）は一切認められない。やむを得ない理由で辞退を申し出る場合には、一定の手続きを経る必要がある。辞退が認められた場合でも、キャンセル費用が発生する場合はキャンセル費用を全額負担すること。
【その他】
・初回授業までに当該年度の定期健康診断を必ず受診すること。
・授業についての指示、参加費納入案内等は、CanvasLMS及びSPIRITメールを使用する。使用方法は各自で習熟すること。
