The purposes of this course are to learn how to deal with statistical software and to understand quantitative data analysis, correlation coefficient, etc.
This course teaches how to use Excel or other statistical software to process data and to use them for writing quantitative data reports. It also teaches the basics of statistics.

エクセルや統計処理ソフトの操作方法と、統計データに基づく各種分析について習得する。基本統計量や相関係数などを用いた統計分析ができる力を養う。
The purposes of this course are to learn how to deal with statistical software and to understand quantitative data analysis, correlation coefficient, etc.
本授業では、統計データを活用し、それらの情報をエクセルなどの表計算ソフトにより加工し、図表作成や統計処理（基本統計量、相関係数など）を行える技能を習得するとともに、分析結果をまとめてレポートを作成する。また、授業中に統計学の基礎的な解説も行う。

PCを用いて解説と演習を行う。初心者でも構わないが、基本的なPCやExcelの操作はできることが望ましい。コンピューター室で授業を行うため人数制限（45人）を課す。
Microsoft Excelだけでなく、Word（レポート作成）、PowerPoint（プレゼンテーション）をあわせて使用するので、可能であれば各自のPCにインストールしておくことを推奨する。
