We face many problems in our communities, and the paths to solving them are complicated. In this lecture, you understand the specific methods of regional design, and you acquire the ability to envision the ideal form of our communities.
The lectures cover methods of regional design by local governments and private sectors. I introduce the basic concepts of urban planning, transportation, commercial revitalization, civic activities, area management, etc., with the latest topics.

地域社会の課題は多様化し、その解決に向けた道筋も複雑化している。この講義では、課題解決のための手法として地域デザインの具体的な手法を理解するとともに、これからの地域社会のあり方を構想する力を身に付ける。

講義では、地方自治体や民間による地域デザインのアプローチ手法を取り上げる。都市計画や交通まちづくり、商業活性化、市民活動、エリアマネジメントなどについて、最新のトピックを交えながら、それぞれの基本的な考え方を紹介する。
