・To discuss the principle, history, theory, and system related to lifelong learning and to be able to understand those basic matters.
・Students will be able to associate and understand lifelong learning and social education into their daily lives.
・Based on the above, we will study the concept and the role of social education/ lifelong learning in modern society.
During the course, we will explain basic matters related to the principle, history, theory, and system of lifelong learning. Also, lectures will be given using specific examples of people's diverse educational and learning activities, and the facilities and organizations that support them. In addition, the students will be required to research cases of lifelong learning and social education, and present their reports.

・秋学期「生涯学習概論2」を受講予定の場合、本科目を受講していることが望ましい。
・毎回PCまたはタブレットを持参すること。（参考資料の確認、リアクションペーパーの提出などに使用する）
・生涯学習をめぐる理念や歴史、理論、制度などの基礎的な事項について理解する。
・受講生が、自らの日常生活に引きつけて生涯学習・社会教育について理解する。
・上記を踏まえ、社会教育・生涯学習の概念及び現代社会における社会教育・生涯学習の役割を考察する。

生涯学習の理念や歴史、理論、制度など生涯学習をめぐる基礎的な事項を概括するとともに、人々の多様な教育・学習活動やそれを支える施設、団体などについて具体的な事例を用いて講義を行う。また、受講生自身が生涯学習・社会教育の事例について調査研究し、その発表を行う。
During the course, we will explain basic matters related to the principle, history, theory, and system of lifelong learning.
