Acquiring fundamental knowledge and developing statistical approach in order to use it as a tool to solve various problems in the course of studying psychology, as well as using it as means to conduct social surveys.
Students are given explanation of statistical techniques approach and methods in order to solve the problems and do the tasks by extracting useful information from the data. The lectures during "Psychological Statistics 1" are mainly devoted to descriptive statistical methods. In order to do that, lectures are given in accordance with the textbook on the topics below. Students progress through lectures while taking quizzes and having their level of understanding checked.

心理学を学び，研究する過程での様々な課題を解決するための道具として，また社会的な調査を行うための手段として，統計的な考え方や手法や基礎的な知識を身につけ，使いこなせるようになる。

データから有用な情報を取り出し，問題や課題を解決するための統計技法の考え方や手法について解説する。本授業では主に記述統計法について講義を行う。そのため，下記のテーマについて教科書にそって講義を行う。小テストで理解度を確認しながら講義を進めていく。
