【Course Objectives】

After extensive critical research of previous studies, seminar participants engage in mutual discussions among the professor and classmates, formulate their unique research theme independently, and conduct empirical research based on psychological methodology and statistical data analysis, in order to achieve meaningful graduation thesis research in contemporary society. They will be guided from the third year for the final graduation thesis. Students who do not plan to write a thesis also aim to develop a research plan.

【Course Contents】

In the spring semester, students will select literature of their own interest from the list of academic journal articles prepared by the professor in the research fields of cognitive psychology and social psychology, which have recently been of increasing interest in modern society, such as the psychology of judgment and decision making, consumer behavior and purchase decision-making, and human information behavior and Internet use. In the fall semester, students will present and discuss their thesis reports and prepare for their graduation thesis research (elaboration of their own research theme, concrete design of questionnaires and survey items, and concrete planning of experiments). Statistical analysis will also be emphasized in preparation for data analysis for the thesis.
