【Course Objectives】

1. Students will learn to understand and feel the significance of studying psychology in the university in terms of future careers.
2. Students will listen to their senior students in the Graduate program in psychology and get an image of their future careers.

【Course Contents】

Students will learn the basic knowledge and findings in psychology necessary for the future career, promote their understanding of the career by listening to people who play an active part in the society, and think of the meaning of studying psychology.
The first half of the class introduces basic approaches to career and theories related to it. Lectures are given to promote students' understanding of work and organizations and their own suitability to different types of jobs and organizations.
The second half features guest speakers who used to study in the graduate program in psychology and have active roles in various social areas (family court probation officers, psychologists in Metropolitan police department (civil servants), certified clinical psychologists, counselors, people from an information service provider, IT industry, electrical industry, or writers (travel). (Guest speakers might change.)
Students will acquire hints to get the image of their future career from the whole course.
