【Course Objectives】

Based on the concepts of yin and yang, Tai Chi forms part of Chinese traditional culture. Tai Chi Chuan is a sport with roots in Tai Chi philosophy. Practicing the 24 movements of Tai Chi Chuan will enable students to experience the balance between yin and yang in their bodies, and the workshop aims to help students regulate their breathing through continual practice and develop a deeper understanding of Tai Chi Chuan.

【Course Contents】

Through practicing the 24 movements of Tai Chi Chuan, students will learn the eight methods that form the basis for moving the hand (Peng, Lv, Ji, An, Cai, Lie, Zhou, and Kao) and the five methods that form the basis for moving the legs (Jin, Tui, Gu, Pan, and Ding).
Following this, students will learn the method, which forms the basis for moving the core of the body, and experience the jitsu and kyo through these movements.
In particular, the course will carefully demonstrate the connecting elements when moving from one pose to the next.
