【Course Objectives】

1.Each student will explore what they want to express through a moving-image work. Students will be required to go beyond what they have done to date, such as imitating the works of their favorite artists or arranging images to match their favorite music, and clarify what they want to communicate to the audience.
2.Each creator possesses an individual style. Style refers to the method of expressing a moving image, and the process of filming, direction, or editing brings that style to the fore. Understanding your individual style helps you discern the right genre for you.
Therefore, the main aim of this course is to discover your theme and style, which will cultivate an understanding of your artistry as a creator.
This course welcomes students interested not only in drama and documentaries but also animation, music video, video art, TV programs, and more.

【Course Contents】

Over the 14 classes in this course, each student will create and present one work.
The basic rules for this process are as follows
1.The genre can be anything as long as it is a moving-image work.
2.The moving-image work must be between 3 and 20 minutes in length.
3.Students may participate as part of the crew or cast in other productions but must produce one work under their own name. (However, for collaborative productions, several students may produce a single work together.)
4.The work needs to be completed within the given time frame.
All students in the course will participate in the evaluation, question-and-answer session, and discussions for each work during the mid-term screening of rush and the last two weeks of presentations of work.
