In the 21st-century, the digital technologies have changed the environment of our lives. This includes the communication through the Internet, SNS, various short moving images, digital editing technologies. This course will consider the impact the digital technologies have through reading some texts on them.
The course treats recent texts on digital technologies. The course focuses particularly on the issues of technology, visual culture, and communication. The reading includes excerpts from important books and papers written in Japanese and English.

21世紀において、デジタル技術はわたしたちの生きる環境を大きく変えました。ここには、インターネット上でのコミュニケーション、SNS、さまざまな短編動画、デジタル編集技術が含まれます。この授業では、文献の講読を通じて、こうしたデジタル技術が与えた影響について考えます。
