【Course Objectives】

Studying about anthropology of art, acquire the ability to think about art from multiple angles.

【Course Contents】

First, we will consider the birth of art in prehistoric times and examine the relationship between humanity and art. Next, we will consider Georges Didi-Huberman's anthropology of images. He analyzes a myriad of images from ancient times to the present day, traversing a variety of academic disciplines. In this class, we will examine the content and possibilities of his theory of images. In connection with this, we will also examine the image theories of people such as Michael Fried, Rosalind Krauss, Yves-Alain Bois, and others.
