【Course Objectives】

The aim of this course is help students acquire the skills of discussing the images, bodies, and movements with analyzing how the human body and body movements were projected and viewed in visual arts, photography, and early films.

【Course Contents】

Many of the techniques that gave birth to the film were made to record the movements of the human body. Based on this background, we will consider the relationship between the desire to witness physical movements and human perception in the early days of the movie's birth through the activities of each person who became a turning point. After that, through the perceptual theory of philosopher Henri Bergson who criticized the movement reconstructed by the movie, we learn to discuss the body projected in the image.
