【Course Objectives】

As is common with assignments involving specific work and study related to the field of welfare, the purpose of these lectures is to help students master software and computer network skills in an MS-Windows environment.

【Course Contents】

With the advent of the advanced information society we need to have the knowledge and skills to use information technology in all aspects of our lives. In the welfare field, the mindful and proactive distribution and utilization of welfare information such as needs, services and treatment becomes ever more important against the backdrop of material changes in the way in which we use these services from “initiatives and measures” to “contracts”. In these lectures, students will study the following items in order to acquire these skills:
1) Search and retrieval of information: Efficient, effective collection of relevant information through browsing the internet. Collection, organization and use of information sources.
2) Reception and distribution of information: Reception and distribution of information to specified and non-specified groups and individuals using e-mail, website creation software, etc.
3) Document creation: Creation of concise and easy-to-understand documents using word processing software. Creating, editing and saving fixed format documents.
4) Sharing of information: Information sharing processes via email, website creation and database software; creation of an appropriate environment; rule setting.
