【Course Objectives】

・Understand the significance of upholding the fundamental human rights granted to all people from birth and protecting and developing the self-esteem of each individual, which is fundamental to respect for human rights.
・To be a support provider/parent who develops the self-esteem of children, it is important for you to protect and nurture your own self-esteem. From this perspective, learn and acquire specific methods and ways of thinking and the ‘skill to love oneself’ through practice.
・Become a happy neighbor who holds a firm foundation of self-esteem, understanding that you are ‘a being of value, no matter who you are’ and gives your blessing to all those you encounter, affirming them as ‘beings of value, no matter who they are.’.

【Course Contents】

To better understand children and learn how to support child-rearing, you are expected to :
・Understand the value of respect for human rights, which accepts others different from oneself and diverse personalities, and acquire the basic perspectives needed to provide support;
・By looking at the issues of homelessness and bullying, understand the significance of creating an environment in which each individual can act with courage and establishing a personal relationship that provides safety and security, with an eye toward realizing a society in which vulnerable people can live a happy life; and
・Understand the concept of ‘accepting and loving oneself just as one is’ through classroom lectures and practical, hands-on learning programs for self-esteem training, including breathing exercises, mindfulness, and self-care skills, and acquire practical skills.
