Learn the concepts and philosophy of disability welfare as required for practicing welfare for people with disabilities in the modern society. Understand types of disabilities and the current status of people with disabilities, outline of systems and policies, and their issues.
Understand the outline of laws, systems, measures and services related to people with disabilities in relation to the history and concept of disability and disability welfare in modern society, as well as the current status of people with disabilities and the measures being taken to help them. This course aims to develop an awareness of people’s disabilities and of what concrete steps can be taken to support them.

現代社会における障害のある人への福祉実践に必要とされる障害者福祉の思想・理念及びその実態と歴史的展開を学び，障害の理解と障害のある人々の生活実態及び制度施策の概要と今日の課題を理解する。
Learn the concepts and philosophy of disability welfare as required for practicing welfare for people with disabilities in the modern society. Understand types of disabilities and the current status of people with disabilities, outline of systems and policies, and their issues.
現代社会における障害と障害者福祉の思想（理念）の歴史と障害概念，障害者の生活実態と支援課題について，さまざまな障害者関連の法律・制度・施策・サービスの概要を理解し，具体的な障害者支援実践にどのように活用することができるのかを通して各自の障害と障害者観の涵養をめざす。
Understand the outline of laws, systems, measures and services related to people with disabilities in relation to the history and concept of disability and disability welfare in modern society, as well as the current status of people with disabilities and the measures being taken to help them. This course aims to develop an awareness of people’s disabilities and of what concrete steps can be taken to support them.

| 講義の進度に合わせて適宜紹介する。 | |||||
授業に参加する、新聞を読む、読書をするという学びの営みの中から、障害者当事者の生活問題としての「生きづらさ」の根本問題の中に社会問題（社会環境）とのコンフリクトについて日常的に興味・関心を持っていてほしい。
パワーポイントを使用した講義形式で、当日は資料配布をしないため積極的・集中した受講態度が要求される。
尚、授業用の配布レジュメはCanvasLMSから授業前に教材掲示をおこなう。
指定テキストの内容を踏まえながら、視聴覚映像教材なども適宜活用する。
