【Course Objectives】

By studying how the promotion and development of the welfare industry (silver service, etc.) contribute to economic functions and effects such as the "safety net function" (life stability, labor force preservation, income redistribution, etc.) and the "total demand expansion function" (job creation function, production inducement function, and fund circulation function) of japan's social security system, we will learn how to contribute to various measures, Contribute to the development of human resources who will lead the next generation of social welfare.

【Course Contents】

In the "General Discussion", based on the development process of social security in Japan, we will examine the history of the promotion of the welfare industry (silver service), the development process of silver services since the long-term care insurance system came into force, and understand the fundamental structural reform of social security through integrated reform of social security and tax. In addition, students will learn about the change in policy phases, such as responding to the increase in the number of elderly people in a declining population and responding to a decrease in the working-age population, while verifying various data from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and related ministries and agencies. In the "Each Theory", students will learn the current situation, issues, and direction of measures based on the efforts of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and other relevant ministries and agencies regarding the introduction of advanced technologies such as AI, ICT, and nursing care robots to improve productivity in the nursing care field, improvement of living environments, securing nursing care personnel, dementia care and healthcare industry, visualization and selection support of nursing care services, comparison with foreign countries, and deployment to overseas markets. Based on the general discussion and learning in each theory, students will deepen their understanding of the relationship between the social security system and the welfare industry.
