【Course Objectives】

1) Understand the historical development of community welfare and its significance
2) Understand community welfare as required by residents and people who need it; community welfare as provided by social workers; community welfare provided by local government as a policy initiative; community welfare in the context of social welfare laws. Understand the different ways of thinking about community welfare as demonstrated by different practitioners.
3) Explain to others what the requirements are for community welfare.
4) Understand that people with needs tend to fall into a passive position when using welfare services.
5) Understand the need for comprehensive lifestyle support and networking

【Course Contents】

Community welfare is about resolving the lifestyle issues of local residents with lifestyle rights and fulfilling their lifestyle problems. It is the process of putting together services and activities based on the region. In addition, it can be viewed as the construction and operation of a framework to secure this process. Review the historical development of community welfare and how its ideas and practices have been formed and spread. In addition, understand the details of the elements that make up community welfare through examining practical cases. In this way, students themselves consider what community welfare is.
