In our country where multiple disasters occur, the social work in practice is increasingly demanded in terms of disaster support. In this course, students are expected to consider the circumstances of support concerning people and communities in disaster areas, from the perspectives and values of social work. Also, they are expected to acquire the basic knowledge and practical skills to lead to real professions such as a social worker.
・To understand specific social structure and welfare issues during a disaster, referring to the law and some specific cases.
・To grasp the roles and functions of social work practice.
・To contemplate how social workers approach disaster support.
The students will learn the above, not only through lectures but also seminars, discussions, visual aids, talks by social workers in the field, etc.

災害が多発する我が国においては、災害支援における社会福祉の実践が益々求められている。被災した人たちや被災したコミュニティ（地域）への関りにおける福祉的な視点や価値観をもった支援のあり様を考えていくとともに、実践の専門職（例えば、ソーシャルワーカー）としての具体的な活動に結び付けられるように、基本的な知識と実践スキルを身に付ける。

・災害時の社会構造や福祉課題について法制度や事例などをもとに理解する
・災害支援における福祉実践の役割と機能を整理する
・社会福祉の専門職（ソーシャルワーカー）が災害支援においてどのような実践を行うのか考える
（以上の内容を、講義のみならず、履修者同士のディスカッションや演習、映像視聴、実践家の講話なども通して深めつつ学んでいく）
