【Course Objectives】

In this class, you will have the opportunity to learn about the causes of poverty in the world and efforts to promoting the well-being of poor people. You will also come to understand our connection with the poor living in developing countries, the fact that we are a part of the poverty issue. Besides, this class aims to deepen your understanding of the significance of social development and the ideals and activities of international non-governmental organizations (NGOs) as intermediates for promoting social development, such as their unique, community-based approaches.

【Course Contents】

In this class, you will learn about serious social issues from global perspectives. You will also learn about the ideals and community-based activities of international NGOs, as well as the problems they face. Based on that, you will analyze the significance and role of international NGOs.
