【Course Objectives】

Examine the concept of inochi (life in general) from the perspectives of seimei (a measurable concept in biology, medicine, philosophy, and other fields), seikatsu (livelihood) and jinsei (human life), understand the problems surrounding modern living, and address them in one’s own words.

【Course Contents】

The College of Community and Human Services bases its fundamental philosophy on the principle of "Dignity of Life." In this lecture, we critically examine the current state of affairs surrounding 'life' by primarily referencing discussions in bioethics and environmental ethics. Through these discussions, we aim to learn by deliberating on specific alternative proposals.
