【Course Objectives】

・Learning a series of processes ranging from planning of qualitative research, to implementation, data analysis, and production of reports.
・In particular, interview techniques, document analysis (utilization of existing materials), and observation methods are acquired.

[Social Researcher]
This subject is equivalent to Social Researcher Certification Course G. Check course requirements carefully for the enrollment conditions. Note, it is preferred for students to have taken Course F “Qualitative Research Method" or to take simultaneously.

【Course Contents】

The class is based on the general theme of "Multiple problems in the modern community", with specific research themes to be decided through discussion with students. In addition, students will learn the process of theme related study, from setting the research topic and designing surveys, to conducting research surveys, managing and analyzing data and producing reports. Specifically, we will proceed according to the following schedule.
Spring semester: Orientation, deciding research themes, pre-study, setting survey topics, and design of surveys.
Summer vacation: Conducting preliminary survey
Fall semester: Conduct surveys, organize and analyze data, and prepare reports.
