【Course Objectives】

To acquire the ability to think about special needs education based on an understanding of the challenges faced by people with developmental disabilities.

【Course Contents】

Supports based on an understanding of students with developmental disabilities is required in education. In recent years, attention has focused on the possibility that sensory characteristics such as sensory hyper/hyperresponsivity, in which many people with developmental disabilities have, may underlie their maladaptation. We will be given the opportunity to understand the scientific evidence on these sensory issues, as well as the other social and motor characteristics of people with developmental disabilities, and to consider the related problems and their solutions from an educational perspective.
