Student will be able to examine and solve problems related to the history of the Japanese language using corpora.
Many problems and questions still remain in the history of the Japanese language. There are various approaches that can be taken to solve these problems, one of which is the use of corpus. Although corpus are very easy to use and highly convenient tools, there are many points to be aware of.
In this class, students will learn how to use corpus, analyze and discuss issues in the history of the Japanese language using corpus, and deepen their understanding of the history of the Japanese language in a practical way.

日本語史に関する問題について、コーパスを用いて検討・解決できるようになる。
Student will be able to examine and solve problems related to the history of the Japanese language using corpora.
日本語の歴史には、いまだ多くの問題・疑問が残る。これを解決するには、さまざまなアプローチ方法が考えられるのだが、そのひとつにコーパスというものの利用が挙げられる。コーパスは非常に手軽に利用でき、また利便性の高いツールであるが、気をつけなければいけない点も多く存在する。
そこで本授業では、コーパスの利用法を学ぶとともに、コーパスを用いて日本語史上の問題について分析・検討し、日本語史研究への理解を深めることを実践的に目指す。
