【Course Objectives】

Students will learn basics of econometrics and acquire the knowledge required to conduct empirical analysis. Students will study basics of traditional econometrics in Special Lecture on Econometrics 1.

【Course Contents】

Students will study basic econometrics at senior undergraduate or master’s degree level. Students will review probability and statistics before progressing to single regression analysis and multiple regression analysis. After that, students will study analyses that use panel data analysis, linear statistics, logit and probit models, and instrumental variable method. Students will focus on learning basics of traditional econometric thinking, while considering modern analytical frameworks and analytical techniques covered in Special Lecture on Econometrics 2. Students should have mathematical skill equivalent to Introduction to Econometrics (2014) by Stock and Watson.
