【Course Objectives】

Students will understand formation and development of post-war international economic order from political economics perspective.

【Course Contents】

In this class, students will understand current international economy. To do that, students will study global economic development and transitions around WWII until today from political economics perspective, focusing on transition from international relationship to global economy, and its structural change. Furthermore, students will explore relation between actual economy and economic thinking during this transition. Students will also study international economy from policy perspective. In this class, specific political economic phenomena and policy development will be addressed sequentially and their political economic meanings, their impacts on actual economy worldwide, and their significances will be discussed. Therefore, this class tilts towards theories interpret based on the fact, instead of knowledge that focus on theories. In other words, students will focus on qualitative instead of quantitative analysis.
In this class,specific international economic phenomena and policy development will be picked up sequentially to discuss about their mutual relationships, political economic meanings, their impacts and significances in actual economy worldwide. Students will be able to grasp current global economic states by integrating individual information available in large volume daily.
