【Course Objectives】

Modern corporations, i.e. individual capitals, bring greater impacts on our lives as they grow. How can we approach and understand current states of these mega corporations? In Special Lecture on Business Analysis 1, students will research methods to analyze these corporate trends and characteristics from social economics perspective.

【Course Contents】

Individual capitals are active not only in individual corporations but also in consolidated business groups. In Special Lecture on Business Analysis 1, students will look into basic management analysis method in these individual capitals considering perspectives of not only various stakeholders, but also citizens and social economics. At the same time, students will also research the actual corporation cases using various data such as securities reports.
Notably, students will consider characteristics of modern capitalism and industry from business analysis perspective. They will then discuss business analysis methods and frameworks.
Furthermore, students will study how mega corporations have been grown, what is the essence of profitability and corporations, and corporates’ paying capability and financial structure stability while discussing characteristics of accounting data from its relationships with accounting policies and earnings management.
