In this class, students will analyze roles of financial accounting theoretically and empirically. Students will understand theories related to financial accounting researches. They will also analyze relationships among these theories, accounting tasks and standards setting based on actual evidences.
Among the researches on financial accounting, this class will mainly cover the theories and empirical proof related to the capital market research. Students will study textbooks contents used in each lesson beforehand. When necessary, students will prepare summary of these contents. Each class will focus on students’ explanations, with supplementary explanations from professor. Professor may change class structure based on number of students. In addition to textbooks, students may also use related papers in each class.

この授業では、財務会計が果たすべき役割を理論と実証の両面から考察することを目的とする。財務会計研究に関連する理論を理解し、それらが会計実務や基準設定とどのように関連するのかを実証的証拠をもとに考察する。
In this class, students will analyze roles of financial accounting theoretically and empirically. Students will understand theories related to financial accounting researches. 財務会計研究のうち主として資本市場研究に関連する理論と実証を取り扱う。受講者は、各回の授業で取り扱うテキストの内容を授業日までに予習し、必要に応じてレジュメ等を準備する必要がある。各回の授業では、受講者による説明を基礎としながら、教員が補足的に説明を加える予定である。ただし、受講者数に応じて授業の進め方を変更する場合がある。また、各回の授業では、テキストのほかに、関連する論文を取り扱う場合がある。
