【Course Objectives】

The main objective of this class is to introduce students to sport marketing and corporate sport sponsorship activities in the global sport industry. Upon completion of this course, students are expected to:
1. Successfully demonstrate an understanding of sport marketing principles and fan behaviors.
2. Understand corporate sponsorship activities' objectives, strategies, and measurement.
3. Critically analyze & provide solutions for sport sponsorship problems.

This is a 'spring one' intensive course.

【Course Contents】

This course introduces students to the principles of sport marketing & sport sponsorship. The content mainly draws from North American and European sport business contexts (Japanese and Asian applications will be introduced in class). The course will be taught through lectures and the use of case studies. Students are expected to participate actively in classroom discussions. Guest speakers may be invited to supplement the course contents.
